A 2007 graduate of Parkersburg High School, Alanna Markle is now a Junior at West Virginia University in Morgantown, where she is working toward a double-major in International Studies (focusing in Development) and Political Science, with a minor in Spanish.  Alanna manages the McCarter Health Center website.  She is also a counselor at the YMCA Adventure Day Camp in Parkersburg.  When she's not at college or traveling, Alanna lives in Parkersburg with her father, or visits her mother in Pittsburgh; she is the oldest of one full brother, three half brothers, and two step sisters.  She loves to travel, and was an exchange student in Brazil for a year after graduating high school.  She also enjoys reading, making bad pottery, going to concerts/music festivals, and spending time with her family, friends, and boyfriend.
