McCarter Physical Therapy opened in 2007 and continues to serve our patients with the most up to date care. Dr. Darrin Marsh, DPT is our Director of Physical Therapy and has been with McCarter Health Center for 15 years. Dr. Marsh follows the McCarter Approach by serving each patient individually, providing unique treatment protocols for each of his patients. Specializing in functional fitness, balance, joint mobility, and strengthening protocols, Dr. Marsh delivers a well-rounded protocol to ensure the longevity of your recovery. Dr. Marsh relies on orthopedic and exercise research-designing your treatment program around the latest in updated rehabilitation protocols.

Dr. Marsh works with the body to heal the body. He utilizes bands, weighted balls, body weight exercises, neuromuscular advanced exercises, proprioception/balance exercises, yoga, and TRX strengthening to lengthen and strengthen your body. He retrains your body at the same time that he teaches you how to continue strengthening with home exercises. Our goal is to improve your stability over time and give you the ability to continue at home with what you have learned during your time at McCarter Health Center.

Dr. Darrin Marsh specializes in:

  • Spine rehabilitation: Joint arthritis, sciatica, disc degeneration or protrusions, autoimmune arthritis, and post-surgical, spinal fusion, rehabilitation.

  • Shoulder, hip, and knee rehabilitation: Rotator cuff and shoulder surgery, hip replacements, hip weakness, knee replacements, arthroscopic surgery, strain/sprain, knee deformities.

  • Ankle rehabilitation: Ankle strain/sprain and ankle surgery, foot surgery.

  • Balance and Proprioception: Parkinsons, geriatric aging imbalance, post-surgical imbalance, muscle wasting/atrophy.

  • Home exercise programs through exam and instruction. Monthly check-ups for advanced exercise instruction.

  • In house rehabilitation facility for daily rehabilitation and physiotherapy.

  • Lumbar and cervical traction for disc therapy

  • Baseball Training for 12-23 year old athletes. (Call for younger child instruction)
